Unbound Play
March 5 @ 4:00 pm – March 8 @ 3:00 pm

I’m so bored of the scripts!
We’re either friends or we’re lovers. We can hug, but only hello and goodbye. We can go on dates, but only if we intend to be romantic partners.
There’s so much more to explore once we move beyond the habits, hierarchies, and expectations that shape how we touch, relate, and imagine the future. The spectrum of intimacy and connection is rife with possibility – we just need to get creative!
Inspired by the joys of being queer, we will explore what becomes possible when curiosity replaces certainty.
Through guided play, improvisation, and gentle experiments in connection, we will create space for warmth, laughter, and bold connection. It’s a cozy rebellion against the idea that we already know who we are or how we’re meant to be together.
We’ll explore connection in all its forms: from playful roughhousing to deep breaths and soft swaying. From singing to silent parallel play. Storytelling about our pasts. Shared reflections on the future. Massage, giving each other haircuts, playing dress up! Curiosity becomes our guide.
This is a space to experiment safely, notice your boundaries, and discover what pleasure, presence, and consent can look like when freed from scripts.
What happens when we let play lead the way?
The Flow of the Weekend
Thursday | Arrival & Opening Circle
Arrival between 16:00 and 18:00 to get settled into the house. At 18:00, we’ll eat a hearty soup and then open the weekend with a circle to name intentions and ease into the container of play, curiosity, and care.
Friday & Saturday | Embodied Exploration
To start the day, a delicious breakfast and greeting the mountains. A morning circle to check in and move our bodies. We’ll have two “workshop” slots each day. In the morning, exploring the myriad ways to communicate needs, feel safe, and deepen connection. We’ll use guided games, improvisation, and touch-based practices to help us explore consent, curiosity, and relational imagination. Then lunch and a siesta! Some time for yourself to enjoy the mountain life – walks in the snow, star-gazing, board games, journaling, and moments of connection. Time to process and integrate the content.
After an early dinner, we will have an evening program that suits the needs of the group. From playfight to charades to a quiet evening listening to an album together, we will embody curiosity and connection in all its delightful forms.
Sunday | Integration & Closing
A morning of reflection, shared play, and embodied connection. A closing circle to integrate discoveries, share gratitude, and prepare to bring the lessons of play into your everyday life. A hearty meal to send us off. Departure around 15:00.
About the Place
We’ll be spending the weekend in Sogn Andriu, a cozy Alpine “village” (of 4 houses) nestled in the Swiss mountains. The house we’re staying in has wooden beams, panoramic views, a crackling fire, and a big kitchen that smells like soup and coffee. There’s plenty of space to curl up with a book, step out into the snow, or stare into the stars.
The neighbors include newborn lambs and baby donkeys.
The house is easily accessible by public transportation, which is encouraged. After taking the train to Ilanz, Bus 441 up the mountain is free for all during the winter months. Just get off at Lumbrein, Sogn Andriu and you’re at the end of the driveway.
Dinners will be a community event – you’re either helping to cook or clean up! Think (vegan) soups and stews, a side salad. There’ll be freshly baked bread and the most delicious butter and cheese bought straight from the local farmers – who have banded together to ensure the entire mountain is pesticide-free!
My husband and a close friend will be on-site in the evenings but not part of the retreat as we’re spending the full winter here. They’re friendly and will do their best to not intrude. During the day, they will be at work.
Who This Weekend Is For
Unbound Play is for anyone curious about connection, touch, and exploring intimacy beyond familiar scripts.
It’s for people who want to experiment safely with physical and emotional boundaries, who love playful, queer-forward* spaces, and who are ready to discover new ways of relating.
It’s for those longing to move beyond expectation, to bring warmth, curiosity, and consent into their connections, and to embrace the full spectrum of touch – playful, tender, erotic, or entirely desexualized.
You’re welcome to come alone 🧡and you’re warmly encouraged to come with a friend, lover, or close person.
Most rooms have shared beds, and the experience itself deepens when shared: bringing someone close makes it easier to carry the weekend’s learnings back into daily life.
*All are welcome!
