Consent for Autistic Folks

October 10 @ 1:30 pm 6:00 pm

Hello! I’m Ella a self-diagnosed autistic workshop facilitator whose special interest is all things consent. I think consent is a foundational skill that underlies all aspects of social interaction – not just in the bedroom! Unfortunately, it’s not often taught and it so badly needs to be practiced.

In this workshop, we’ll practice tools to check in with ourselves, recognize when a boundary or need needs to be communicated, and how to approach those conversations. I will guide you through open discussions and exercises. I’m trauma-informed and hold spaces with care and flexibility so you can always decide if you want to partake in an exercise or just watch. There might be touch-based exercises if the group feels comfortable with it and there will always be a non-touch alternatives available.

Everyone is welcome! No need to have an official diagnosis – if you feel like this would be a beneficial space for you, you’re welcome to join.
